Frequently asked questions

How long does my hair need to be?

To prepare for your waxing appointment, ensure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long (think like a grain of rice) for the best results. Avoid sun exposure, exfoliate the area gently 24 hours before your appointment, and refrain from using lotions or oils on the day of your waxing.

Is waxing painful??

Pain levels vary from person to person, but most clients experience some discomfort. The first time is usually the most uncomfortable, and subsequent sessions tend to be less painful as hair grows back finer and thinner.

How long will the results last?

Waxing results typically last between 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair growth rate and the area being waxed. Regular waxing can help reduce hair growth over time.

Can I wax if I have sensitive skin?

Yes, I use high-quality , gentle wax from Cirepil suitable for sensitive skin. However, if you have concerns, please let me know before your appointment so I can take extra precautions.

What should I do after my waxing appointment?

After your waxing appointment, avoid sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and heavy exercise for at least 24 hours. Wear loose clothing to prevent irritation, and apply a soothing lotion or aloe vera to the waxed area.

Are there any side effects to waxing?

Common side effects include redness, bumps, and minor irritation, which usually subside within a few hours to a couple of days.

How often should I get waxed?

For the best results, we recommend scheduling waxing appointments every 4 to 6 weeks. Regular waxing can lead to thinner and sparser hair growth over time.

Can I wax during my menstrual cycle?

Yes, you can wax during your menstrual cycle, but please be aware that your skin might be more sensitive. If you feel uncomfortable, you may want to reschedule your appointment.

What is the difference between a bikini wax and a Brazilian wax?

A Bikini wax removes hair from the sides and top of the bikini line, while a Brazilian wax removes all hair from the front, back, and everything in between. You can also opt for a modified Brazilian if you prefer to leave a small strip or triangle of hair or a French Bikini which removes just a little farther inward compared to a Basic Bikini.
